Solar Thermal Heating
Solar Thermal Heating Systems are becoming an increasingly popular renewable alternative to traditional water heating systems. With the ever-rising fossil fuel costs, renewable energy systems are the way forward for domestic properties.
At Haus Cube we specialise in Flat Plate Solar Thermal Heating Systems. Solar Heating Systems use the energy from the sun through solar collectors/panels, to heat up domestic water.
The Solar Collectors absorb the sun’s radiation to heat up water that is stored in a hot water cylinder. Solar Thermal heating Systems can be easily integrated with your existing heating system.
The Solar Thermal System consists of 3 main components:
Collectors / Panels
Solar thermal collectors capture the sun’s energy by heating a glycol (anti-freeze fluid).
Pump & Controller
The pump ensures the fluid is circulated between the collectors and the water cylinder efficiently. While a system control panel controls the pump and provides information on the system’s performance, as well as any faults.
Water Cylinder
The heat captured by the solar thermal collectors is pumped to a coil in the water cylinder. A solar thermal water cylinder has a dedicated coil that allows the heat from the collectors to be transferred as efficiently as possible.
